      A career in Retail Management is one filled with long hours, missed holidays and many hours of missed family time. However this career is also rewarding and the possibility of boredom is almost nonexistent. A retail manager does more than just manage. He is also an on site field doctor, lawyer, mother or father, peacekeeper and sheriff. The retail manager wears many hats in the everyday operation of any retail establishment.  
      It doesn't matter what type of retail establishment you are affiliated with, they have many things in common, yet they are different. It could be a restaurant, department store, gas station or even a convenience or grocery store, they all have their own culture, their own place in retail.
